Abstract

The relationship between the hardness of metals measured by the Brinell and Vickers methods, as well as the values of the Brinell hardness at the yield point of HB0.2 with the grain size was experimentally investigated. The obtained dependence equation turned out to be similar to the relationship of the yield strength σ0.2 with the grain size, according to the Hall-Petch formula.
